Music Blackout Boogie Rockin’ Record Hop use the very latest in technology. Though the records we play are over fifty years old we have mastered 78s, vinyl and CDs to digital format to enable us to bring along over ten thousand records to every event. Our state of the art system also allows us to search the entire collection by artist, track title, album title or simply keywords to find the tracks you want fast and efficiently. |
We mix tracks digitally from ipods and external hard drives and also have the back up and compliment of a CD mixer and vinyl input. If you have a specific track on CD we can drop it into the mix.
Lights
Because we specialize in the 1940s and 1950s we concentrate on the music and don’t need the lights to go with it. We do not have a huge light display with gogos and lasers. We keep it very simple and use whatever lighting the venue has already. We sometimes using glitter balls but only if requested.

We have a fantastic selection of 1940s and 1950s movies, exclusive dance clips with jitterbuggin’ and jivin’, public information short films from Britain and the US, vintage cartoon clips, vintage hot rodding clips, vintage TV commercials and a whole host of black and white miscellaneous clips to add a fantastic background to your event.
